I love it when Pantone announced the colours for the coming season and the ones that they’ve picked are gorgeous like they’ve chosen them especially for me.

The top ten most popular Pantone colours that will be seen on the Spring 2011 runways are: Honeysuckle (above), Coral Rose, Regatta Blue, Beeswax, Peapod, Lavender, Blue Curacao, Silver Peony, Russet and Silver Cloud.

“The colors designers have chosen for the spring season present an interesting marriage of unexpected warm and cool tones,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. “By cleverly combining complementary colors, those that are opposites on the color wheel, they have created a striking intensity in the palette. These unique color combinations make it possible for consumers to pair existing pieces in colors traditionally associated with fall, with new favorites to punch up springtime wardrobes.”

My favourite shade has to be the flirtatious Honeysuckle, a vibrant pinkish-red colour, is being build as a perfect post-winter pick-me-up – love it. Closely followed by Beeswax, a warm, honeyed yellow, which conjures up feelings of ‘faraway lands and locales’. Pantone them say pair this shade with the cool Regatta blue for a vibrant colour combination.

We’ve already seen a lot of nude hues hit the runway, but I love the ethereal Silver Peony and the Silver Cloud – perfect neutrals for any wardrobe.
