The rodeo came to Somerset House for the final day of womenswear at London Fashion Week with a cowboy and Indian inspired collection from Ashish.
Gingham and leopard print maxi dresses, sequinned Western shirts, cow-print mini skirts, dresses and jackets, denim hot pants and fringed jackets, were accessorised with hand-painted cowboy boots decorated with the McDonald’s golden arches, Coca-Cola bottles, Heinz beans logo and skeleton figures and outrageous headgear from trucker baseball caps, Stetsons and feathered headdresses.
This collection was the most fun of all the shows this season, I love the kitsch detailing of the logos, the western theme really worked and I love the cow and flame prints. But the most wearable items were the maxi dresses especially the gingham print one – which has been added to my wishlist!
