This week was one of my most enjoyable press days as Schuh *my favourite shoe store* treated me to a day out at the park. There was everything to enjoy a perfect summer’s day: a duck pond, benches, umbrella’s suspended from the ceiling, deck chairs, picnic baskets filled high with men’s shoes and to finish off a fun day out with swings and a colourful roundabout – well no day at the park is complete without them.

One thing you can always guarantee with Schuh is the variety. There is always something for everyone and what I particularly love is that they stock the best in cute and quirky. For spring/summer there are lots that I loved, from the red deck chair bow Rocketdog flats, to the various t-bar prints *the dotty ones have to be mine*, and then there are the cut-out and weave details – which I have seen a lot of *will be everywhere come next season*.

I love statement shoes, and Schuh I find is the best place to find them, not only do they have their own brand of shoes *which are amazing*, but they also stock my favs Red or Dead and Irregular Choice – some of which are exclusive to them.
I have already fallen in love with these Miu Miu inspired jewelled heels, the skull bow flats and leather gladiator flats complete with bells – want them all!!

The brand also has lots of plans next year as Schuh turns 30. I know I couldn’t believe it was so old *sadly the same age as me*. From a refurbished flagship store, exclusive birthday shoes, a birthday bash, a national roadshow, and of course stacks of birthday offers – 2011 is going to be a great year for my favourite shoe store.
To celebrate their birthday I think I will do some rummaging through my shoe racks and photographing all the shoes I have bought from Schuh – it will be my own fashion through the ages. One pair of boots which unfortunately won’t make the photo shoot, but are imprinted on my mind are a pair of purple suede knee high platforms, I bought from the Manchester store. I sadly lost one on a night out in Manchester as an 18-year-old, not sure how, but keeping one just made me sad!!
