Charity Barbie: If Only Santa Could Bring Me Janet

Pic: Charity Buzz - Barbie Doll Adores….Divinely Janet

I love the fact that Mattel do so many one-off Barbie’s in the name of charity, and until December 15, you could still bid on one of eight original, one-of-a-kind signature Barbie and Ken items for Divine Design, Project Angel Food‘s annual fundraiser.

My favourite item has to be this Janet Jackson, inspired by the glam black gown she wore during her 2010 American Idol performance, with Mattel Designer Jackeline Gonzalez duplicating the dress, including the body-hugging cat-suit underneath that she revealed during her second performance. To finish off her gown it is finished with hand-placed Swarovski crystals. If Janet wasn’t gorgeous enough they thought of her diva status and even made her mic studded with crystals.

There is a catch however, as this one-of-a-kind piece is currently already at $1300, but come on it is for charity, fingers crossed a rich benefactor will see my blog and become my secret Santa, doing their bit for charity and making me one happy fashionista!!

Other items in the auction include: Ken Dream House from Toy Story 3Barbie Loves the MAD MEN Office Holiday Party 4-Doll Display SetHoliday Wishes Barbie Doll with Santa Ken DollBarbie Doll Celebrates Carol Channing; and even a Custom-Made Barbie Guitar.

Happy bidding everyone, as this is one amazing charity, as all the money raised helps feed men, women and children with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-threatening illnesses – such a worth while organisation.
