I was very excited when I read on Livia Firth’s Vogue Blog that she was planning to wear American fashion label Prophetik to accompany her husband Colin Fifth to the Golden Globes. The main reason I was so excited was because Prophetik who showcase at London Fashion Week, was one of my favourite shows and I was pretty stoked that this label was getting some red carpet action.
Well, Livia chose the strapless blue Peace Silk gown from Prophetik’s spring/summer 2011 collection, as part of her Green Carpet challenge, where she can only wear sustainable or eco friendly garments throughout awards season.
I wish I had a shot of her on the red carpet as I think this gown deserved all the flash bulb attention, and hopefully this will be the first of many Prophetik gowns to be worn by celebrities. Come on the orange and pink ballgowns from the SS11 collection were divine and would have been exquisite at the Golden Globes.
I can’t wait for Friday 18 Februrary at 12:00pm when the Tennessee label opens Vauxhall Fashion Scout once again. I am sure that the autumn/winter 2011 collection will blow me away.
