As most of you can see I haven’t blogged fashion, celebrity style or even my beloved Barbie in over three weeks, I know I am in a state of shock as well. I am going through what can only be called a ‘crisis of confidence’. Since my friend Sam passed away I have kind of felt lost, I know it isn’t good to mope about but I just can’t seem to shift my mood. People keep telling me it will pass, others are pushing for me to get back to normality as soon as possible, but I just feel so low, and I know that Sam wouldn’t want this, but I just can’t seem to shift this feeling in the pit of my stomach.
Adding to my grief is a terror inside of me, which is making me panic about losing readers, obsessing that I am out of the loop *I know it has been only 3 weeks, but hey a lot can happen*, as well as having near panic attacks at the thought of blogging or even attending events. All of which are such new feelings for me, I have always found this blog as my escape from everything, and love going to press days, launches and shows. I just think I need to remember that blogging has always made me so happy.
I know my passion for fashion, gorgeous gowns, striking catwalk collections, and everything else my blog has covered is all still there inside me, but I have to admit that loosing a friend is harder that I thought to come to terms with, it really has shaken me to the core.
But what I can tell you is that without you guys reading my blog, tweeting and emailing your support, this whole process would have been a whole lot harder. I have been really touched by your amazing comments of support and that alone makes me realise that Fashionista Barbie is here to stay, it will just be a slow and gradual process over the next few weeks.
Please stick with me, I am already on catch-up mode, and will soon probably be boring you with bits you’ve already seen; maybe just humour me for the next few weeks, it will get better I promise!!!
I have been thinking ahead though, I think death does that to you, and most of all I have decided that I have to stay positive and concentrate on what I love, and seriously fashion is so what I adore. So I have been considering where I want Fashionista Barbie to go, and to steal a line from Yazz ‘the only way is up’!!!
I have got my nerds working on a refresh to my layout, a friendly illustrator is working their magic on a new header, and I am already looking forward to London Fashion Week, and even the possibility of hitting Paris Fashion Week again.
Basically, this post is a thank-you for your support, to let everyone know I am still here, but more importantly to say that I will definitely be getting my blog on!!!!
