I am a sucker for a fashion film, I am even more of a sucker for a history lessons, and I am loving this video to celebrate Bally’s 160th anniversary. It may only be 160 seconds but wow does it pack in the heritage of Bally, which has been creating shoes and luxury leather goods since 1851.
My highlights had to be the Londoners queuing up for the opening of the Bally store in 1881, the introduction of the Trainspotting Stripes in 1939, Neil Armstrong wearing Bally boots for the first landing on the moon in 1969, as well as all the vintage Bally advertisements. But most of all I so want to visit Switzerland after seeing all that gorgeous scenery, which according to Spring Fashion Film who collaborated in the project it took 10 days to capture. Simply stunning, and the flashes of the new collection looked amazing.
