Once again Dolce & Gabbana are celebrating Italian beauty and using Italian cinema as its inspiration for its womenswear spring/summer 2012 campaign. Starring the gorgeous Monica Bellucci, Bianca Balti and Simone Nobili this campaign shot by Giampaolo Sgura really does capture the essence of an Italian family – I totally wish I was part of this family!!
This year we’ve seen a lot of Dolce & Gabbana star prints hit magazine covers worldwide, and I predict that these sexy floral prints are going to be everywhere.
If the womenswear campaign wasn’t amazing enough, the luxury Italian brand has really out-done itself with the menswear imagery, featuring Italian actors Giuseppe Fiorello, Francesco Scianna, Filippo Nigro, Thomas Trabacchi, Primo Reggiani and Chiara Francini. The campaign, which is the debut season for photographer Mariano Vivanco, and they are really exquisite, dare I say it I think better than the womenswear. I think it is all to do with it being captured in black and white really adds to cinematic vibe.
