Wearing: A gunmetal and dark green embroidered Reem Acra gown with cap sleeves and a tiered skirt of ruched ribbons from the pre-fall 2012 collection, teamed with just one fingerless glove, diamond cuffs and a diamond encrusted cross necklace
Verdict: Since I found out that Madonna was going to do the red carpet last week I have been going through all the designers I thought she would wear, they included Dolce & Gabbana, YSL, Jean Paul Gaultier, Gucci or even that she would go ladylike in L’Wren Scott – I most certainly couldn’t have predicted that she would go with Reem Acra.
I have to be honest I am not sure what to make of this dress. I love the gunmetal bodice, the cap sleeves kind of have a forties vibe to them, and even the dark green colour, I am not a fan though of the ribbons and the added texture of the skirt – but what I hate even more is her need to accessories everything with fingerless gloves. I understand two because I thought she was trying to hide her age, which can clearly be seen on her hands, but one – come on let the 80s go!!!
