Last week I was invited to Playful Promises lingerie store at Boxpark in Shoreditch, the world’s first pop-up mall, made up entirely of shipping containers. It is such a cool place right next to Shoreditch High Street Overground, and the London-based lingerie brand really does stand out with its vintage-inspired underwear among the mainly sporty brands such as One True Saxon, Gola, Nike, New Era, Vans and Puma.
I think every girl loves fancy underwear, and everything at Playful Promises is beautiful, I just fell in love with all the retro-inspired silk lingerie sets. But this label is more than just fancy pants and bras, Playful Promises also has its own clothing line, I need the swan-print blouse in my life, and the jewellery is just so quirky it completes the label perfectly.
One of my favourite pieces had to be the pantie tins – for £15 you could be the Circus Ring Master, Snake Charmer or Tiger Tamer – these really make a great Valentine gift.
