Career Doll: I Pledge My Vote To Barbie For President

Ooh I do love Barbie’s ‘I Can Be‘ range, I have everything from Barbie as a snowboarder, a rock star, and even a racing driving, well it seems for 2012 Barbie is following her political dreams by putting herself forward as America’s next President, her fifth presidential bid.

For her 2012 campaign, Barbie has enlisted the help of American fashion designer Chris Benz to design her a classic and sophisticated pink skirt suit with a very patriotic red, white and blue ruffle trim to the front of her blazer. Seriously chic look on Barbie, everything from the use of her signature colour, to the pearl necklace and earrings, her perfectly placed hairstyle, and I am loving that she can literally stand on her own two feet, thanks to her weighted pink wedge heels. So adorable, she certainly gets my vote!!!

“I was so excited to jump into the playful world of American fashion design — one filled with colour, fantasy and impact — for such an iconic customer,” says Chris Benz. “It was very important for the outfit to convey professionalism and strength in silhouette and design. The ultimate in political chic.”

Barbie’s campaign platform calls for girls of all ages to ‘B inspired’, ‘B informed’ and ‘B involved’, and it is hoped that the doll, which will be available in Caucasian, African-American, Hispanic and Asian ethnicities will help girls aspire to the highest rungs of leadership.

Well Barbie, you most certainly get my vote!!!
