Wearing: A Balmain pre-autumn/winter 2013 look featuring a pink and gold sequin scallop-print leather top teamed with a tulip-shaped draped hot pink skirt, and finishing off her look are Christian Louboutin ‘Pigaresille’ pointy heels
Verdict: I loved her Calvin Klein look seen at the photocall but this Balmain beauty from the front is insane – I just adore the Art Deco-inspired scallop embroidery to the top – seriously exquisite. I also thought it was pretty appropriate for a Star Trek premiere, it has a futuristic vibe and is kind of a sexed-up Star Fleet uniform with the high neckline and long sleeves.
But no matter how much I love this look from the front, and I have to be honest I adore it, the pink and gold combination is genius, I am just not too keen on the leather detailing it just doesn’t work for me.
That is the tiniest of complaints though, everything else about the ensemble is perfection – from the simple styling to the sleek bun – I am so pleased to see Zoe back on the red carpet.
