Yesterday, I spent the day reading nearly all the September issues I could get my hands on, my picnic rug in the garden looked like a make-shift newsagents and one of the autumn/winter 2013 campaigns that kept grabbing my attention had be Kenzo with its doll-like heros.
The series of slightly strange and surreal images created by experimental art magazine Toilet Paper stars model Sean O’Pry and Japanese actress Rinko Kikuchi on a Kenzo adventure. I am in love with the whole campaign from the miniature doll-like stars pinned to a dissection table with butterflies to riding giant hands in the clouds.
There is also a weird and cute side to the campaign – the weird being the eyeball print trousers and matching nails to the cuteness of a kitty sat in a shoe – seriously random and that’s probably why I love it so much.
I know this campaign has been out for a while, but it was only when I saw it in the magazines that it really made an impact.
Do you love this strange campaign?
Then there are the cute and bizarre ads:
