Wearing: A purple, three quarter sleeved Alberta Ferretti crushed velvet gown from the autumn/winter 2013 collection, teamed with a box clutch, H. Stern diamond drop earrings, a cocktail ring, and a Jaeger-LeCoultre Joaillerie 101 Etrier watch
Verdict: There is something about velvet, I think that Diane Kruger’s latest red carpet look will split opinions, for some velvet is a little old-fashioned and conservative, however for me I love the luxe feel of the textured fabric and Diane looks uber-glamorous in this gorgeous-yet-simple Alberta Ferretti gown.
I think if this dress had been in a deep red or black I wouldn’t have like it as much – I just think the purple seems more modern and I love that she matched her plum manicure to the dress.
As well as loving the dress, I also adored Diane’s jewellery – from her elegant Jaeger-LeCoultre watch to her statement cocktail ring, and those gorgeous diamond star-shaped drop earrings – each piece is exquisite.
