A Floral Moment

When it comes to everyday dressing my skinny jeans, in all shades of blue, black and grey are generally my first port of call, so I’ve been trying to branch away from the statement tee and sweatshirts, for something more feminine, and this floral boho-style blouse that I picked up for half price in New Look is perfect for that. I’m a fan of dark florals, they add a touch of girlie, without being too bright, plus I’ve found that darker moodier hues aren’t just for winter, especially when you can find a print like this with light blue and coral mixed in.

I also find that a floral print is great for adding a little something special to an everyday look, especially for me, this blouse takes me a little out of my comfort zone, while adding a feminine edge. I also think it helps that this New Look shirt has sheer sleeves, not that you can tell from these pictures, that add a sexy vibe, so it will also be great for wearing out to dinner as well as during the day running errands. I suppose this look would just need a change the shoe to make it day-to-night ready, and I love outfits like that.

The accessories help this look as well, I’m obsessed with the colour of this cute Radley London bag, which has been made even prettier now it has my initials on it, the coral hue is just so summery that it instantly cheers up any look. For my shoes I went for these New Look strappy flats, you know the ones that everyone was crazy about last summer, well mine are still going strong and I love them. They are comfortable for walking around all day, plus a little smarter so are meeting appropriate.

How do you style florals?
