There’s something so pretty about rose gold jewellery that just makes me smile. I know for some, there’s a worry that rose gold won’t work well on their skin tone, for me, I think the pink-hued precious metal works so well with almost all, I love that it brings out the subtle blush tones of the skin. It also looks great when paired with silver or gold pieces, which means you can pick up an investment piece and it will still work with your other favourites.
So when Mococo got in touch and asked me to pick some pieces out I was instantly drawn to their impressive rose gold selection, as well as the incredible brands they have, they have everything from Olivia Burton watches to Thomas Sabo, the gorgeous Daisy London jewellery with the Chakra details, and Swarovski. I’m not going to lie it was hard picking out pieces, but I just knew that I wanted to create a feminine story, and a rose gold glow is perfect for that.
So what is it about rose gold that I love, I think it has to be its understated elegance, it doesn’t have the bling-effect of say white or yellow gold, but for me, that’s what makes it more special, and more suited to my personality and style. I also think because there isn’t as many rose gold pieces out there, I know there are certainly more now than a few years ago, it has a vintage feel about, and so makes it a little different from the norm, and these three pieces I’m wearing are just so divine.
My Rose Gold Style: Olivia Burton – Big Dial Rose & Rose Gold Watch // Daisy London Rose Gold Long Solar Plexus Chakra Necklace // Thomas Sabo Rose Gold Glam & Soul Heart With Infinity Bracelet // **all c/o Mococo**
I’ve been crushing over Olivia Burton’s watches forever, I have a watch obsession and these timepieces are fun, stylish and affordable, this beauty is £80 and it is just so perfect. They have two sizes of dial faces, this one is the larger one, which I just love, and I’ve been wearing it non-stop since it arrived and I love pairing it with silver and rose gold bracelets, they seem to enhance each others glow.
I do love an arm party stack, so, of course, I needed a beauty of a rose gold bracelet to pair with this fab watch, and I couldn’t help but go for this one by Thomas Sabo. I’ve been a fan of their charms for years, but this bracelet surprised me as it is so delicate, in silver, it would look a little plain, gold a little too bling, but in rose gold, it has the right balance. I love how the heart is teamed with a crystal infinity symbol. I’m also thinking that I’m going to see if this can be engraved to make more personalised to me, that heart is just asking for my wedding date engraved on it.
My final piece, possibly my favourite, has to be this Daisy London chakra necklace, I went for the Solar Plexus Chakra representing vitality, direction and self-esteem, thought it was kind of fitting as I’ve been feeling a little unsure about myself and the general direction of work lately, so here’s hoping this little beauty helps. I also love that it is has a slightly long chain, I love layering up necklaces and this perfect for that. Daisy London also does beauty bracelets as well and I think I’m going to need to add a few to my collection soon, so beautiful.
