I love it when I get a great response to an Instagram, Twitter or Snapchat **search for me FashionNBarbie** post, it makes me smile, and also makes me get my act together to share more information about it. Well, this weekend you guys all followed my adventures in Trieste, I was there for the emerging designer ITS Contest, and even though you guys loved all the talent spotting, you seemed to focus more on my incredible new Keds. I don’t blame you, they are pretty special, I think I may be in love. Have you ever lusted after a Chanel bouclé two-piece? Well, these Keds are made in collaboration with high-fashion French textile mill Malhia Kent, who used to supply fabrics for Chanel.

Malhia Kent is known in fashion circles for being one of the very best textiles mills in the world, especially when it comes to high-quality jacquard and tweed fabrics, you know the ones that Chanel uses a lot. Apparently, it is also has one of the only looms that is able to process feathers, glitter, ribbons and raffia into its textiles, which is why these beauties have gorgeous silver glittery threads running through them.  Keds,Keds x Malhia Kent, Malhia Kent, Keds Champions, Fashionista Barbie, Trieste, Italy, Asos, Cambridge Satchel Company, Style Post, Style Blogger, Top UK Fashion Blogger, Fashion Blogger, Fashionista Barbie

The collection doesn’t hit stores until August, I know I am super lucky, the guys at Keds sent them to me and couldn’t resist taking them to Italy with me, who could blame me they are just so chic. I actually got so many compliments from the international crowd that had gathered for the ITS Contest and a lovely French journalist told me all about the French mill, she had a tour and it sounded fabulous.

These were made for Keds as part of the brand’s 100th-anniversary celebrations and they’ve got the French textile brand to revamp its Champion, Triple Deckers and slip-ons with blends of cauliflower blue, hot pink, coral and yellow, tonal patchwork and basket-inspired weaves. Trust me you are going to want them all, each style is so pretty, and I love how they work so well with the signature Keds styles. For me, they are even better than the Liberty print collection, which was also so, so pretty.

Also, if the incredible fabric wasn’t enough to make you swoon, the fact that they are so comfortable will. I wore these for the first time wandering around the Italian city of Trieste, they didn’t rub, didn’t hurt, they just made me smile. I always tend to pack a pair of Keds with me when I travel, they really are so light, perfect for carry-on luggage, they are comfortable to walk in all day, plus they look super cute with jeans or a dress.

I have lots more content from Trieste, my hotel was fabulous and I loved the city, just give me a chance to edit the photos and videos, plus I’ve got some incredible emerging designers for you to check out.

Do you love these Keds x Malhia Kent trainers as much as me?

Great article and I love the shoes! Do you have any idea when/if these Keds will actually be available in the UK?
