Christmas is a wonderful time of year, but sadly not for everyone, so why not celebrate the season of goodwill by adding a charity gift as a stocking filler for a loved one. I’ve put together a few gifts that just keep on giving and could really make a difference this festive season – how about buying a young homeless person Christmas dinner, feed a family in areas such as Yemen, or why not become a tiger protector.
My Pick Of Christmas Charity Gifts
Oxfam – has lot of options, you can buy an animal for a family in a third world country, provide safe water, educate a child, feed a family, fix a well for a town in great need, or provide a winter kit. Charity gifts from as little as £5.
Save the Children – is asking you to help change the lives of children across the world, by investing in a toy, winter clothing, a water filtration system, a school bag, a food basket a football, and even kits for babys and midwifes. Christmas gifts start at £7.
WWF – one of my favourite charity’s is asking for you to protect an endangered animal from pandas to elephants, rhinos, tigers, penguins, lions, and dolphins, basically you could choose a different animal for each member of your family instead of a gift they probably won’t use. My star buy has to be the Tiger Protector charity gift for £5 a month and it includes a cute personalised story book ‘The Tiger Protector’ featuring a name of your choosing in the story.
DEC – If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen the above image to raise awareness of the #YemenCrisis and the DEC’s urgent appeal to #HelpFeedYemen as 7 million people in Yemen don’t know where their next meal is coming from and children are dying from malnutrition due to the country being torn apart by civil war. It’s easy to help, text DEC to 70000 to donate £5, or head over to their website.

Centrepoint – help give a young person hope again by buying someone Christmas dinner for a young person. For £10 a young homeless person will receive a healthy, hot meal with a Christmas Dinner, along with warmth and comfort. There are also a number of other on-off donations including £15 to offer a warm bed for the night.
