The Daks show may have been an early start at 9am but it didn’t disappoint with the quintessential British tailoring house going for an edgier feel.
Under new creative director, Filippo Scuffi, the autumn/winter collection drew its inspiration from the world of aviation, which was reflected not only with the jumpsuits but the palette of strong winter greys, blacks, charcoal and navy.
Using the RAF as inspiration the grey ‘flyingsuits’ with leather caplets were one of the key pieces for me, alongside the long cable knit cardigan and dress.
But there was also a classic elegance about the show with demur tailoring, a-line knee-skirts, camel tones, plaid and slim-line coats, key Daks staples. I loved the Sherlock Holmes vibe with narrow trousers teamed with capes and deerstalker hats.
I also love the geek chic with the metallic brogues teamed with short socks throughout.

This collection also reiterated the trend we were seeing yesterday that the cape is going to be a key item for our winter wardrobe, with leather and quilted numbers gracing the runway.
