Britney has had enough of just starring in Candie’s ad campaigns she has now turned designer with her own limited edition collection for the brand.
Britney for Candie’s, will be exclusive to Kohl’s, and is Brits first ever collection of clothes and accessories *other than obviously her merchandise*, and will hit stores in July.
Do I see a Madge vs Britney rivalry for the back-t0-school market??
Maybe it will come down to who puts more money behind it, Madge is going for social, well Brit and Kohl’s are going with a national marketing campaign, TV, magazine and billboard ads as well as online placements – so basically everywhere then!
“I was so excited when Candie’s asked me to design my very own clothing collection. Designing was a really fun, new way for me to express my creativity and I really wanted to create something by me for my fans. I hope you guys love it.”
The collection itself has been inspired by Britney’s favourite music and movies, and she has gone for a mixture of day and evening looks – from jeans to the must have little black dress *so nothing new there then*.
First peek at this collection is in the pics (above & below), showing a flirty skirt with a grey *mock* leather jacket; jeans, striped jumper and killer-heel boots; and my favourite the bottom image with jeans, waistcoat and cute shoes. Along with handbags and jewellery the whole range is priced from $14 – $78 *purse-friendly*.
I do like the touch of actually using Britney’s handwritten notes on the marketing material. So what do you think would you buy Britney for Candie’s?
