Last week I had the pleasure of a walk through the Nine West’s spring/summer 2011 collection by Creative Director, Fred Allard. As with the autumn/winter collection it was spectacular. Like last time the space was elegantly decorated, whereas for AW10 Home House was decked out like an elegant banquet, for SS11 it was more relaxed, colourful and sense of art and style set out in the Art Space Gallery, on Maddox Street. Fred was telling me how he picked out all the furniture and styled it accordingly with the shoes – and what a job he did as it looked amazing.
For Nine West this season is all about the wedge, and how it makes me so happy, with its super-high, and its candy colours. I want them all!!
There were a lot of bright colours, which were complemented nicely with whites and natural textures, of wood, Hessian fabrics, and I love the jewels which added a glamorous touch. For spring/summer there is a perfect mix of casual and glamour in Nine West’s collection.
As with every Nine West collection, the high-quality craftsmanship comes out, and I love the Tali flats, in tan and gold, the laser cut-out detailing is exquisite.
I am a sucker for espadrilles, and why not they are super comfie and perfect for summer, and I think I will be popping down to Nine West as soon as this collection is in store. Gorgeous footwear mixed perfectly with quirky accessories, my favourite bag being the big round straw number and the colourful weave straw hat.
Actually – why not just add the whole collection onto my wish list – especially all the bright funky prints!!
