Book Loving: Barbie A Rare Beauty

Pic: jjj

As many of you already know I love collection Barbie dolls, but I also have a love for Barbie coffee table books, especially ones which give me an insight into my favourite plastic doll!

Well you can’t get more of an authoritative on all things Barbie than doll expert Sandi Holder, who has over 20-years collecting experience as well as running the Doll Attic, which is one of my favourite websites for scouting around for my next collectable Barbie.

This gorgeously put together books has over 400 images, showcasing over 50 years of beautiful dolls, with a decade-by-decade look at some of the finest and rarest dolls ever created. From classic fashion sets, prototypes, one-of-a-kind rarities, Japanese fashions, store displays, licensed products and many never-before-seen items – OMG I can’t wait to study ever page.

Still need a little more convincing? Check out some of these stunning pages – my copy better arrive soon!!

I love this doll, the beauty of the swimsuit and the chic up-hair-do, but check out the detailed descriptions.

Need It, Want It, Buy It: UK peeps I would suggest Amazon it is currently £13.99; for American readers I would get straight over to Doll Attic where it is $21.99, and you will also get a special illustrated personalised autograph from the one-the-only Sandi.
