Oasis’ autumn/winter 2011 collection was more than just a great range of clothes and accessories, but was one of the most creative presentations I have been to this season. Set in a painter’s studio in Paris, there was even an illustrator working his magic, and his sketches and tools *props* littered the showroom.
For AW11, there was a lot that I loved, from the layered knits, pussy bow blouses, embellished collars, architectural silhouettes, and lots of leather. My favourite story has to be all the colour blocking, which offered an amazing spectrum of colours, think primary colours of red of blue, mixed in with some vibrant Barbie pinks and oranges; the perfect addition to breaks up all the black and autumnal shades.
I love all the colour blocking shifts, I think I will be getting one in every colour. I also loved that the bright colours contrinued into the accessories – I love this pink tote and red handbag.
One of the highlights for me were the crystal and beaded embellished collars *no surprise there then*, they were on a chiffon dresses and blouses, and there was even a lace detailed one, which I added to my wishlist.
As you would expect from Oasis there was a feminine touch to some of the collection. With chiffon printed blouses, pleated midis, cute sweaters, and floppy hats. Teamed alongside the layered knits and capes, this is going to be one of my go-to-shops for my winter wardrobe.
