London Fashion Week designer Corrie Nielsen is teaming up with Scoop on her very own ice cream flavour. Yes, you read it right one of my favourite designers will be immortalised into an extra dark chocolate flavour with a hint of orange blossom from Paris – well a couture designer needs something fancy.
Over the years there has been a lot of designer collaborations, from limited-edition collections for high street stores, tie-ups with sports brands, hotels, and even technology companies, but I have to give it to the Fashion Fringe-winner for creating the first fashion/ice cream collaboration.
Corrie said, “I can’t believe I’m getting an ice cream named after me and that I got to help design the flavour. I’m beyond honoured and I hope people love it! This is definitely going to be one of the most memorable collaborations of my design career. Scoop has been wonderful, and they truly are the most luxurious of gelatos, hands down.”
To taste the flavour for yourself get down to one of Scoop’s three London parlours – in Covent Garden, Soho or their new South Kensington Store during London Fashion Week. However, if you are lucky enough to be on the first or second row at Corrie’s show you will receive a free voucher – and I can tell you I can’t wait to taste it.
It did get me wondering though – what would my ice cream flavour be? I am quite boring when it comes to ice cream I am a vanilla with lots of sprinkles type of gal, but maybe I could combine my favourite dessert black forest gâteaux into an ice cream flavour. What would your flavour be?
