Have you ever wondered what Prada radio would sound like? Well in the Italian label’s spring/summer 2012 campaign video you can listen to their crazy mash-up of electric tunes. I loved the print version of Prada’s spring/summer 2012 1950′s inspired ad campaign shot by Steven Meisel, but this gorgeous retro-themed flick is just exquisite.
I never thought that a gas station could look so chic, the print images prooved that wrong, but the video just makes it look every more divine and works perfectly with the aesthetic that Prada presented for SS12. I love all the details in this video, it really does capture the accessories brilliantly, from the heels to the bags and even the flawless make-up of the models. But most of all it makes me want a yellow and grey pleated dress – pastel shades really are gorgeous – especially when they are Prada!!!
Want to download all the tunes? Well Prada was kind enough to send over the playlist: ‘Funnel of Love’ by Duck and Cover, ‘Dirt’ by Tobacco and ‘Musaphonic’ by Tom Recchion, ‘Kids’ by Brooklyn-based Sleigh Bells, and ‘Written All Over Your Face’ by Ariel Pink.
I also adore how Prada describe the gas station: “It is cast as a central symbol in this post-modern crossroads of new horizons and economic fulfilment, a stage set where fashion, fantasy and the promise of new discoveries collide.” Wow, I’m wishing next time I fill up my car that new discoveries collide with me – oh and if possible those flame-adorned heels.
