Designer Copy: Sister by Sibling vs Miss Selfridges

I have already expressed my love for slogan emblazoned jumpers, I oohed and aahed over the Markus Lupfer collection, I wanted to buy all of the Bella Freud jumpers at Bicester Village, and another one of my favourite quirky knitwear labels Sister by Sibling is now available on ASOS, which doesn’t bode well for my credit card!!!

One of my favourite pieces from the Sister by Sibling spring/summer 2012 collection has to be this sequinned LOVE jumper – the font just makes me think of a circus or cinema ticket, not sure why just has a dramatic feel to it. The only problem is at £235 it doesn’t come cheap, but on the other hand I think you have to see emerging designers as an investment, and if like me you can’t afford too many designer pieces then targeting statement items like this is a good way to go.

Just think how much use you will get out of this cool jumper, on a pay-per-wear approach I think you will defiantly make your money on this beauty, it will totally work with jeans, over a maxi dress, with a cute denim skirt or cropped coloured jeans, I could keep on going but I think you get my point.

However, if you are loving this look but can’t afford the price tag I did see that Miss Selfridges have a very similar LOVE jumper for £39 – same slouchy vibe, quirky font, and it also comes in three different colours – oatmeal, peach and green. I am loving the pink one.
