Wow, what a morning!!! Today I woke to tweets that I’ve been included in The Independent’s – ‘The Twitter 100: Top 10 Fashion’, compiled with the help of clever social media monitoring organisation, PeerIndex, which is seriously insane.
Who would have thought that a fashion loving Barbie collector with an addiction for her Blackberry and Twitter would be listed alongside the likes of Hilary Alexander, Susie Bubble, Liberty London Girl and my pal Coco’s Tea Party in a list of the most influential fashion tweeters in the UK – certainly not me. I do love surprises and this was a great one.
In true Oscars tradition I would like to thank my agent, publicist and manager – only joking!!! But I would love to thank all my Twitter followers, each and every one of my 5,691 and counting, which still surprises me every single day. I tweet a lot, according the oracle that is Twitter a staggering 15,455 *and this one will be 15,456*, and have found Twitter a constant source of entertainment since I joined way back in 2009. I have to say social media and especially Twitter really did give this blog and my passion for fashion a portal that I can’t thank enough, it has also introduced me to such great people – some of which are now close friends, and three years I still love squeezing my thoughts into 140 characters!!!
