I have been gushing about Chinese actress Fan Bingbing for a while now, I get particularly excited to see her looks at the Cannes Film Festival and last week I was blown away by her two Louis Vuitton looks while helping the luxury brand celebrate its new flagship store opening in Shanghai.
For the flagship opening, Bingbing wore one of my favourite looks from the spring/summer 2012 collection, it was appropriately girlie, quirky and I have to be honest could only work off the runway on her. I love that she worked the pale aqua colour of the dress with that gorgeous green Louis Vuitton Speedy bag – such a great contrast.
From a playful look to a sexy all-black ensemble, Bingbing really looked incredible in a vampy look at the Louis Vuitton autumn/winter 2012 fashion show in Shanghai, where the luxury label reprised its train-themed catwalk show seen in Paris.
What is amazing about this autumn/winter 2012 look has to be how different it is from the girlie look she wore to the store opening, and that is what makes Bingbing so special – she really is a chameleon on the red carpet and can work nearly anything.
I think out of the two looks this vampy black high-waisted skirt and sheer blouse is my favourite and I think is all about her hair and make-up – her 1940s victory rolls and red lippy is divine. I am also loving her accessories – those black leather gloves, that Louis Vuitton Alma bag and peep-toe heels really finishes off this look nicely, add a photo opp with Peter Marino and it really does complete her vampy look!!!
Are you as memorised with Fan Bingbing as I am? I just love how she can do an elegant floor-length gown one minute to a quirky dress to a sexy number – she seems to do any look with ease. For me, she is nearly as stunning as Diane Kruger, the one thing I haven’t seen from her is off-duty looks – I wonder if they are as striking as her red carpet outfits?
