When I was looking for my wedding gown instead of just looking at bridal collections I also took inspiration from the red carpet, like the high street look to the catwalk, wedding designers also check out the latest celebrity trends when designing their gowns and I think I have found two that need to be rolled out into production!!!
The first look is a gorgeous, elegant, one-shoulder white Ralph Lauren gown worn by actress Cate Blanchett. It is the statuesque silhouette of this gown that makes it perfect for a glamorous, modern-style wedding for a bride looking for an edge – you can’t get more fashion-forward than that half-cape detail that drapes over her arm.
My second look worn by Zoe Saldana during the Cannes Film Festival is a romantic Victoria Beckham gown from her autumn/winter 2014 collection. This dress might seem a little casual for a wedding, but that is what appealed to me, not every bride-to-be wants a dramatic, show-stopper of a gown, and this Victoria Beckham is simple, yet still gorgeous. I can really picture this pleated gown at a beach wedding or one with a boho vibe -especially with that asymmetrical ruffled detailing. Casual and non-traditional doesn’t have to be boring.
