Flowers are a particular passion of mine, whether that’s tending to my gorgeous blooms in the garden, or making pretty displays all around the house to make our home smell and look beautiful, so when I was invited to a flower arranging master class with London florist Jane Packer with Crocs I jumped at the chance.
I’ve done flower arranging before, where I attempted to make a hand-tied bouquet, I quickly realised that my hands aren’t big enough or coordinated enough, and I most certainly needed help, so I was pleased to see we would be working with an oasis to create our floral masterpieces. 
Using eucalyptus, alchemilla, eupatorium, pink stock and Rose La Belle, we started building up our container display with foliage, placing the eucalyptus leaves, which smelt amazing, all around the oasis to create a green base. Started off simple, the only difficult bit was making sure all the stems were the same length and that it wasn’t too high.
Next step, add five to six stems of alchemilla, a pretty foliage flower, looks beautiful, but quite hard to stick into an oasis without damaging, but when you do get it right it really adds a gorgeous texture to the display. Then I added a little colour with white eupatorium flowers, what I call a filler flower as I always add to make my displays at home fuller, and I think it looks pretty dotted in six corners of the container.
The final touches were to add the pink stock flowers, beautiful and delicate and add a gorgeous pop of colour, and then the Rose La Belle, a delicate small rose with a lovely lime green tinge to the outer petals.
It really was as simple as that, all done in less than an hour, and something that I can most certainly see myself trying again at home, I think on my next attempt I will just opt for something with a lot more colour, the translucent hues are pretty but just think with bold pinks and reds this would have made a great statement.
The night was more than just flowers, it was to show off Crocs fashion-forward shoes, they aren’t all about the clogs, and for spring/summer, they have branched out to include slimmed down styles and bright colourways. I have to admit I have been converted to their multi-strap designs that you totally wouldn’t guess were Crocs, plus they happen to be some of the most comfortable pair of flats I now own.
