For today’s style post adventure we headed over to Suffolk’s Southwold, a full-on quaint seaside town. It has everything a pier, colourful beach huts, adorable cafes, a lighthouse, fun arcades, a sandy beach and even a carousel, which all went perfectly with my tropical print Gap dress.

A great location it seems helps my style posts, as does a great dress, and I’m loving this tropical monochrome beauty that I picked up in the Gap sale for less than £10, which considering it is still £24.99 on the website must have been a huge mistake. It kind of reminded me a little of the green leaf print dress from last summer, and the lightweight material made it perfect for exploring this beautiful seaside town.

Exploring means wearing Keds, these are super comfortable, and I do love pairing a pop of colour with monochrome, especially in summer. Plus they are super easy and light to carry when you’re paddling in the sea, a must for all seaside visits!!!

Of course we didn’t just go to the seaside so I could pose, we took in all the sights, ate lots of yummy food, and had a truly relaxing time, as well as picking up a suntan. So here are a couple of things you can do in Southward:

1. Eat brunch at No. Fifty-One on the high street. I had the yummy French toast with maple syrup and bananas, teamed with a berry milkshake. When its nice you can also sit and back outside in their sun-trap courtyard.

2. Walk down the pier. I loved the alternative arcades, the views of the town, as well as the incredible afternoon tea setting over the water. This place is pure tranquility.

3. Ride the carousel. I know, I know I say this a lot, but it’s because it makes me so happy.

4. Come when they have an antiques market. It is huge, right on the sea front, and you never know what you might find.
