Do you wonder where your favourite Instagram stars are getting all these pretty notebooks and pens from for their beautifully prepared flatlays? Well, I reckon around 90% have been shopping in Kikki.K, and I have to hold my hands up as well, as I’m obsessed with this Swedish stationery store, it’s a mecca for everything pretty and I want it all. I have talked about my stationery addiction before, I fall deeply and madly in love with perfectly formed notepads, gorgeous planners, sticky notes, paper clips, and basically anything that I think will make my working life more productive. The thing with Kikki.K is, it’s all that and much more, this brand is inspirational, fun, and I can’t stress this enough, makes me so very, very happy.
I fell in love with the brand a while back, when it was just online, I gush over pieces, but I never bought anything as I have this thing with stationery that I like to paw at it, to make sure its good quality, so you can imagine my excitement when Kikki.K opened up shop in London’s Covent Garden, it’s stationery heaven and I really could spend hours looking at all the amazing products, plus chatting with the friendliest staff around.
There have been comparisons to Paperchase and even Australian’s Typo, but what Kikki.K has over those, which FYI I still adore, I love all stationery, has to be the way it incorporates inspirational messages, whether that’s with a quote inside the notepad, or on the front “Be Brave, Be Bold”, or it’s incredible collection of journals – like its 101 Dreams Journal, which features exercises designed to help you delve into your imagination, get inspired and understand what you’re passionate about. I love the idea of visualising your dreams to help make them happen and I’ve found it leaves me so happy filling it in. There are a number of journals in the series including Mindfulness, Habits, Gratitude, Happiness and Goals, and I basically want them all.
As well as stationery, Kikki.K also has a selection of Quote card sets, which you can clip to your pin board, or stand on your desk with the provided wooden stand, I love the Svenska Hem Stilla Collection, they add a touch of positivity to my desk, and I’m obsessed with the gorgeous gold font, plus don’t they look cute in flatlays!!!
I always feel so much better when I surround myself with positive and inspirational people and it’s no different for these messages and that’s what Kikki.K does really well. It has this ability to inspire with paper, as well as encourage creativity, you have to check out some of their videos on what you can do to improve your journals, and I adore how the brand is championing the concept of bringing back the art of making time for yourself. Don’t you find sometimes that you get caught up in this social media bubble we all live in that you don’t switch off, this stationery has a way of making you want more, to do more, and to enjoy more, and who am I to deny that.
