You can’t think brows without thinking Benefit, they really have cornered the market, and if you think that they already had a lot of products for your brows, think again, as they are set to release even more, in total there will be 36 products, created to suit all skin tones and brow type. From those brows behaving badly, to those that needing a little TLC whether they are dull, thin or uneven, and those brows that just want to make a statement.
For me, brows is a whole new thing, I only discovered the wonders of eyebrow waxing and tinting this year thanks to the Benefit brow bar. I don’t know want held me back in the past, maybe I was scared of having my eyebrows all waxed off, but having my brows shaped really has made a difference, I actually want to have my fringe cut a little shorter now. I don’t know why but tamed brows really are a confidence builder.
My brows can be a little unruly, well a little less than they used to be thanks to my Benefit brow time appointments, so the main products I use to fill, sculpt and set my brows are:
This little cutie is an all-in-one eyebrow cream-gel that fills, sculpts and defines my brows, basically, it fills in the gaps and builds on my colour tint. I use this to create more dramatic brows, and it’s so easy to do, as it has a built-in hard-angled brush. Quick tip – outline the bottom first and then blend the rest with short strokes. For a natural look just stroke on a tiny amount, which is generally what I do for an everyday look. FYI, I’m using shade 4 – medium.
This is one of those hero products, the Benefit girls at Brow Time were going crazy for it, as it highlights your brows, softens the look of darker brows and enhances lighter brows with depth and dimension. Simply just brush over your brows to enhance your natural colour with a subtle highlight. I love how easy it is to use, the mini-comb tip is the perfect shape and size for defining.
So, you might not need this after using the two products above, but if you need a little extra brow-filling this is the product for you, and it isn’t scary like some brow pencils can be, this one has a “goof-proof” tip, which basically means its pointed wide tip is fool proof. If I can use it right, anyone can.
There’s also two other Benefit products I use on my brows the first being Brow Zings Eyebrow Shaping Kit, £24.50, comes in 6 shades*, it’s a great pocket-size eyebrow kit for taming and shaping. It has an eyebrow powder and wax, mini slant tweezers and applicators, everything you need to sculpt, shape and fill. Plus the Gimme Brow, £18.50, comes in three shades*, this is a great product for just keeping thinks simple, a quick wave of this volumising fibre gel and you’re done. I just didn’t include these in the picture as I don’t have the shiny new packaging and they looked crappy next to these beauties.
Another great product you should check out if you have dull, thin brows is the Browvo! Conditioning Eyebrow Primer, £21.50, as this clear gel will condition and smooth your brows, as well as helping them look thicker, healthier and fuller. You can also use it as a primer under the other products to enhance and extend the wear of them.
The whole collection comes out on June 24, but if you get in quick today, June 15, before midnight you can buy from Benefit before the national launch.
