Metallic Winter Shine

Metallic Winter Shine

Anyone else wishing for spring? I’m kind of done with winter dressing, the only way I can get behind the cold is when it snows, I do love a magical wintery white scene, so I’ve decided to cheer up my winter wardrobe with a whole lot of metallic shine, and it is making me smile. It all started off with these bargain silver Topshop ankle boots. You see they had been on my autumn/winter wishlist for months, I was hesitant to take the plunge and buy, not sure why they weren’t crazy expensive at £40, but something made me chicken out at checkout, well, that was until I saw that they had gone down to £7 in the sale. Yep, these metallic beauties were only £7 and they are so comfortable, just the right amount of heel and shine, and they have a pointed toe that I adore, and they look great with skirts, dresses and even jeans. I think I may be a little obsessed.

So, there aren’t that many left in stock, but if you have tiny feet 2, 3 or 4 you are in luck as they are still available online, and at £7 how can you really resist. Don’t worry if you have big feet like me, I’ve put a selection of my favourite silver boots below the post, I’ve kind of fallen in love with a Silver-tone studded design from Asos with buckle straps, they are so cute and I feel that now I’ve fallen for metallic I so need another pair.

Metallic doesn’t just have to be for footwear and bags, I love the shimmer of this Zara pleated strip skirt, which when paired with this ombre Boden jumper my husband said was a metallic version of the  Zoom ice lolly. I kind of took that as a compliment, which he quickly added was not, how rude!!!!

But, you know what I don’t care, I love this look. This skirt was another bargain, just £9.99 in the Zara sale, and its shine is subtle and not crinkly fabric like some, and I love the mint green hue next to the silver and gold, just gives it a little something different, plus it looks great with this jumper and the boots. Final piece of my outfit is my beloved Sophie Hulme Milner Mini, this is the dark grey that I can’t see on the website at the moment, but there are so many pretty colours, plus a smaller nano size if you want something a little more affordable and cute.

Are you all about metallic shine during winter?

I don’t think I own anything metallic but these boots are pretty fabulous! I bet they’d look lovely with black skinny jeans too <3
