Day three of my Oscars 2018 coverage – are you still with me? Or are you totally done with the award season red carpet? I promise this is the last one, but it is a good one, my favourite looks from the Vanity Fair Oscars Party, which sometimes I find is even better than the main event as the celebs can be a little be more adventurous, and I have some gorgeous looks for you – from Gal Gadot to Sienna Miller and my new style crush, Eiza Gonzalez who apparently you all love from your social media comments.

My Favourite 8 Looks from the Vanity Fair Oscars party

Vanity Fair, Oscars 2018, Red Carpet Trends, Oscars, Academy Awards, Red Carpet, CelebritiesYou guys know how much I love Gal Gadot, her Oscars dress, the flapper Givenchy dress was one of my favourites, however, I think I adore this red crystal embroidered Armani Privé more. This gown was so made for her, I love the slinky feel to the dress, the deep plunging draped neckline, and the colour is just magnificent on her. Also, Gal picked out another gorgeous Tiffany necklace featuring a vibrant ruby to match her dress. Tres beautiful!

Vanity Fair, Oscars 2018, Red Carpet Trends, Oscars, Academy Awards, Red Carpet, CelebritiesIt is probably too soon to say that Eiza Gonzalez is my new Diane Kruger on the red carpet but she really did pull off two very different looks at this year’s Oscars – from a bold yellow minimal dress to this intriguing Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown with a kimono. There is something about this strapless gown that I just love, the flower-petal moulded silk organza gauze really has a great texture about it, and then with the octopus brooch embellished it really is just something different. On its own I would have liked it, add the kimono with checked silk twill and shocking pink, blue and red silk georgette and I’m totally won over – it’s different, daring and beautifully unique and totally deserved a red carpet outing.

I wasn’t sure Lupita Nyong’o could top her sexy Atelier Versace gown worn to the main event but I actually think I prefer the beauty and simplicity of this Armani Privé gown. First up, the tailoring of this dress is perfection, fits her perfectly, I love the plunging neckline and cut-out detailing, it really shows off her incredible figure and the embellished amber crystals really makes this a sophisticated look. Add to that her gorgeous hair and make-up and this is one stunning red carpet look. Actually, has Lupita ever got it wrong on the red carpet? Vanity Fair, Oscars 2018, Red Carpet Trends, Oscars, Academy Awards, Red Carpet, CelebritiesOnly Emily Blunt could go from ethereal to decadent high fashion in the same evening. I loved the Schiaparelli Couture dress she wore to the Oscars ceremony, but there is something special about this Alexander McQueen art nouveau gold embroidered tulle dress. The detailing in this dress is luxurious and exquisitely crafted with the gold sequins and silver beading outlining a floral and bird design that is just so beautiful. I’m so pleased that she didn’t over line this dress, the illusion of sheer is what makes this ornate dress so wonderful.

Vanity Fair, Oscars 2018, Red Carpet Trends, Oscars, Academy Awards, Red Carpet, CelebritiesI was surprised not to see Prada on the main Oscars red carpet, they’ve been a bit of red carpet powerhouse in the past few years, but they didn’t disappoint at the Vanity Fair after-party with Emma Roberts in this gorgeous vanilla chiffon Prada gown enriched by an all-over sequin embroidery and opaline crystals. You don’t often see this buttery, pale yellow on the red carpet, but I just adore the colour, the shimmer with all those sequins and the vintage feel of the dress.

Another beautiful colour had to be Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s mint silk chiffon draped Ralph & Russo couture gown. Rosie is always a goddess, but I love her in this peridot crystal chainmail and chiffon gown, the contrast between the structured bodice and the softness of the pleated skirt and the asymmetric cape is beautiful. This is truly a stunning ethereal look. Vanity Fair, Oscars 2018, Red Carpet Trends, Oscars, Academy Awards, Red Carpet, CelebritiesThe nude trend continued on the red carpet of the Vanity Fair Oscars party with Sienna Miller giving her own take on the trend with this multicoloured embellished Miu Miu gown. I just adore the chevron design and the muted pastel hues of Swarovski crystal embroidery. It is simple and elegant and I love her hair with its vintage twist and her matte red lips. The only thing I would have changed is that clutch, I just don’t like it, something more fun like the Chanel chain-strap orb clutch that Margot Robbie carried to the Oscars would have worked better.

Final look from the Vanity Fair party is Kate Bosworth having her very own Princess moment in this powder pastel dégradé tulle bustier Dior couture gown from the French fashion house’s spring 2017 collection. The rose gold hue of this dress is just beautiful and I love the delicate springtime embroidery to the bodice, which she carries through into her Piaget jewellery with a statement choker, cuff and earrings.
