This lovely never-ending summer has my smiling, but it is also causing a little headache in the wardrobe, as you see I don’t possess enough summer clothes for this heatwave. Hey, I’ve had worst problems I know, and when you can’t justify spending a fortune on pretty dresses as you’re renovating your house, you have to buy a dress that’s versatile, something you can wear more than once but switch it up, so you can still share it on the gram, we all know how important that is. That’s when I discovered this amazing white dress from Tu at Sainsbury’s.
Not only was it a steal, I got it when there was a discount weekend so it only cost me £22 (to be honest so worth the full price of £30), the Broderie Anglaise style is timeless and perfect for styling up with various accessories as well as being great for various locations, events and moods – plus it is super flattering and not too warm. It was basically the best affordable copy I could find of this Sandro one I’ve been lusting over, which FYI, is also now in the sale and so pretty.
So, to prove how amazing this little white dress is, I’ve styled it up three ways – for the beach, a sunny Sunday brunch, and a sightseeing trip to Paris – and they are mainly styled with things I already had in my wardrobe or that I’ve featured on here before.
I love all the looks, but I think this is my favourite, go-to style for the summer, grab a basket bag, my cute straw hat and a zip-up-and-go dress like this white dress. It is simple, perfect for this gorgeous weather, and gave me French Riviera vibes even though I was in Margate!!!
Tan accessories always works beautifully with white, so I added a thin belt to define my waist, plus it is a similar shade to the basket bag and hat, and goes well with these cute Emu Australia flats, which have a touch of gold to make them a little more dressy than just plain sliders.
As I wore this to a friend’s birthday, I also couldn’t resist these go-big-or-go-home earrings, which were a lovely little gift from Marks and Spencer’s at their recent press day. What I love about them is, they so aren’t me, I love dainty jewellery, but I also adore these and so glad I was brave enough to wear them as I think they work really well and tie in blue tint to my sunglasses.

Sunday Brunch – White Dress and Pink Accessories
Second look, is the white dress with a pop of pink, but to be honest it could have been any colour. We were off for brunch at the gorgeous Port Lympne Hotel with friends to celebrate their engagement, and I knew they had this cool courtyard so I thought I would blend in with the stunning floral walls with my accessories.
This basket bag is such a great summer bargain, I picked it up from Primark last year for £8, I used it once, and I was so happy that the weather this year has meant it has been out to play a lot more. It is a great size to carry all my stuff, you know what I mean, my cameras, and all I did was smarten it up with this swan silk scarf I bought from eBay, which is one of my favourite places to pick up cute scarves to jazz up my bags and wear in my hair.
The final touch were these cool laced sandals from Steve Madden, another surprise hiding in my wardrobe, they still had the price label on as I’d never wore them, and to be honest I’m not sure why as they are super fun and cute.

Parisian Style – White Dress, Biker Boots & Mickey Bag
This is the cool style option, well as cool as you get with me, pairing this cute Broderie dress with chunky biker boots – for that city break style. I love dresses and boots, normal summers that is what I live in, it has been a little hotter than normal so I haven’t done it as much, but I love this monochrome look I wore when I visited Paris for my birthday.
These are the perfect boots for pairing with dresses, as the patent shine dresses them up, while also looking casual, and these boots are a steal at under £40, and yep, they are an amazing dupe of those Balenciaga ones you’ve probably being lusting over. The final touch to this look is this cute camera bag I picked up from the Cath Kidston x Disney collaboration. You guys know how much I love a bit of Disney and love this bag as Mickey is winking.
There you have it, three ways to wear a classic white dress – which look is your favourite?
