There are a number of London Fashion Week designers that I get excited about, Molly Goddard, I-Am-Chen, and Shrimps, so any of them doing a high street collaboration would be amazing, so you can imagine my levels of excitement this morning selecting the pieces I wanted from the 40-piece holiday collection that Shrimps designer Hannah Weiland has designed for Warehouse.
The beauty of this retro-feeling holiday edit, other than the fact each piece from the gorgeous cotton dresses to the cute straw bag, fun jewellery and pretty co-ords are amazing, is that this collection starts at just £15 and if you can’t find something in this collaboration that will inject some fun and glamour into your summer wardrobe, I just don’t think we can be friends anymore.
If you are already a Shrimps fan, you’ll probably have been lusting over their faux fur coats and pearl handbags, you know the ones that every high street chain has copied. Well this affordable line is all about showing that whimsical, playful nature of the London Fashion Week favourite with a summer twist filled with hand-drawn prints, gingham, daisy embellishments and raffia, and it is oh so perfect.
It is hard not to think retro Italian Rivera when looking at this collection, as well as wanting to book a flight somewhere hot and lounge on the beach in this fabulous merman print swimsuit, shading my eyes under the straw boater, while looking forward to getting dressed up in the stunning sea print maxi dress, adding some daisy jewellery and carrying my pretty bejewelled straw bag. Seriously, how dreamy does that sound!
Shrimps collaborates with Warehouse
Unlike other designer collaborations, Warehouse has kept the hype down low, which I have to be honest I don’t understand, this is a beautiful collection and I suspect the key items like the playful summery straw hats, beach bags and espadrilles, as well as the daisy embellished white dress, chic co-ords and jumpsuits will be sellouts, especially as everything is under £100.
I have to be honest I want it all, however, I’m trying to be good, but I did instantly buy the three pieces I totally adore, the sea print maxi dress, don’t be scared of the open back I think it will look totally amazing with a white tee underneath, the bucket bag and the straw hat with the daisy print – and I can’t wait for them to arrive
