Titled “And God Created Women” the Louis Vuitton A/W10 runway show in Paris was a fairytale romance of womanly chic.
The setting was perfect for the occasion and complemented the clothing with the tent built around a 16-jet fountain in the Louvre’s courtyard with music from a Fellini movie – perfection for the 50s inspired line.
Not content with the regular runway models this show also included curvaceous models normally seen at a Victoria Secrets show including the gorgeous Bar Rafaeli and Laetitia Casta. And closing the show in a fabulous gown was Elle Macpherson. It was definitely a show which included models with breasts – who can fill the 50s chic outfits.
I loved the styling of the models as well with pulled back ponytails and accessories with the lady-like ‘Speedy’ handbag and elbow-length gloves. So nice to see full skirts, none were above the knee, and all with crystal-stack heels.
All I can say is this show is why I love fashion!!
