Day 5 of London Fashion Week is generally when I am full of ‘fashion flu’, done with all the bitching, too tired to string a sentence together, and so over outfit posing – this season was so much more fun than in previous years that I actually think I left my best and most comfortable look until today.
I rave a lot about Donna Ida and her own collection of jeans, IDA by Donna Ida – I have four pairs and counting and I love each one because they are so flatting, have lots of stretch and are high-waisted for the most perfect fit. These Ice Bright Vintage wash Mabel’s took a little bit of convincing for me to buy from the jean queen herself, I always shy away from such a light finish as I instantly think it will make me look fat, but I actually think these beauties make me look slim, and I never say that!!!
They were also the perfect shade of denim to pair with these cute polka dot heels from Russell & Bromley’s spring/summer 2014 collection that I kindly borrowed from The Apartment. I do love skinny jeans worn with high heels, I just don’t like stiletto height, so these were perfect and they were surprisingly so comfortable even on the cobbled street where Alex and I posed with balloons in front of a crowd of builders.
Finishing off my look is one of my favourite statement T-shirts, a cool wolf which kind of reminds me off those silver foil engraving art sets I used to get as a child. It is from Hobbs NW3 collection and I love that it can be dressed up or paired back with a chunky cardigan and biker boots.
