So this morning was pretty special, I got to spend it with Rita Ora while she launched Coca-Cola’s pop-up bar to celebrate 100 years of the iconic Coca-Cola bottle, crazy isn’t it that Coke’s bottle has been the same since 1915. Rita Ora is kind of the perfect Coca-Cola ambassador as she is a self-confessed junkie of the fizzy pop and she looked incredible in her two red dresses for the launch, seriously oozing proper old-school Hollywood glamour, in a sexy Jessica Rabbit kind of way.

Dress one, was a gorgeous red satin faille peplum Veni Vici Couture gown, called The Duchess, which was kind of fitting as Rita definitely owned this look. Sophisticated, glamorous, and oozing sex appeal, the train really was Old Hollywood at is very best, and I loved that it kind of gave the illusions of the curves of the coca-cola bottle, so very fitting for the event.

Rita a lover of outfit changes, then swapped her look for another red dress, this time, a custom beauty from London-based fashion label, Sorapol, who worked with her stylist Kyle De’volle to create an iconic gown that really was perfect for this event. It was Jessica Rabbit sexy, it had a very high split, which of course Rita pulled off incredibly and it showed off her coca-cola Sophia Webster heels that were just presented during London Fashion Week

Her fierce Coke red lips and statement Crow’s Nest jewellery completed the look that was seriously stunning, more so I think in person, this dress with those splits needs confidence and Rita isn’t short on that and carried this gown off with ease.

I think out of the two looks, her second makes more of an impact, for me, it seemed more Rita Ora than the other one, even though it is very similar to the sexy red silk Donna Karan Atelier dress that she wore to the 2014 MTV Music Awards.

Which of the two Rita Ora looks was your favourite?

It was quite an intimate event, a Q&A with the star led by coca-cola with a handful of journalists, we found out everything from her beauty icon being Madonna who she thinks is a “ledge”, that her style icon is Marilyn Monroe, stressing that isn’t just because she starred in a Coke campaign, her favourite movie is the 1958 classic Auntie Mame, which if you haven’t seen it do Rosalind Russell is amazing in it, and that she would love to spend the day in the era of JFK.

Rita also spoke about the importance of individuality in the music industry saying: “Main thing you need to know who you are, and to make your own distinctive path. When you start out you might not know who you are, it will happen in time. But individuality is vital to creating your own artistic integrity.”

On her go-to make-up, “a great red lip, good eye liner, rested skin, which easier said than done”, oh and the pop singer didn’t forget about her Rimmel contract adding: “a Rimmel Crayon, see what I did there!”.

I also asked about her red carpet style, particular the varied looks on Oscar night from the demure Marchesa gown to a sexy Donna Karan Atelier gown for the parties, and she said: “Usually it starts with the mood, where I am or the event, with a party you can get away with a bit more riskiness.

“For the Oscars it was a once in a lifetime for me so I really wanted to create something from black and white, which for me is an iconic combination, I just wanted to do something timeless, like Audrey Hepburn.”

The popstar also added that to key to being accepted in the fashion world is about “having something to say” and that “clothes speak”, I definitely think her red carpet looks say bombshell!!!

Events with celebrities can go one of three ways, they can be super false, they can act like they don’t want to be there, or like in Rita’s case they are can be warm, funny and utterly charming, and it was so good to see, she really is down-to-earth.

We also got a chance to have our picture taken with Rita, she was seriously lovely about it all, and I love that even with her eyes closed in this pic she still looks absolutely stunning and I feel uber-under dressed and wishing I had put on some coca-cola red lippie to match!!!
