I always seem to be drawn to the quirky and fun, especially when it comes to accessories, and Anya Hindmarch is killing it when it comes to injecting a little fun into fashion. For autumn/winter 2015, the British designer is embracing traffic, roadworks and road signs with her own unique humorous pun-packed collection. Think speed cameras, chevrons, highway code symbols, reflective surfaces, as well as a whole raft of service-station references from Little Chef to a cute Eddie Stobart lorry.
What I love most about this collection, other than how much fun it is, has to be the styling, I’m kind of obsessed with the leather stickers that can personalise any of the bags, as well as the traffic cone tassels, the magic air freshener charm, and the mini coin purses. It kind of takes me back to my high school days where bag charms were a big deal, the more the better, and these luxurious beauties brings the trend full circle for me.
When it comes to a favourite piece it is pretty hard to choose just one, I basically want it all. I really love the backpacks – they are the coolest school girl bags I have ever seen, but I also have a soft spot for the box clutches, the whimsical weather beauty with lightening on one side and sunshine on the other is cute, and then there are the quirky pieces like the Kit-Kat one, the Yorkie bar, and a giant size Polo pack.
But if I had to go for one, the one I would most like to receive, it would have to be the Bathurst Satchel, I love how the bungee strap handle contrasts perfectly with the ladylike shape and luxurious leather, then you can add a few stickers, a bag charm or two and you have a cool, fun piece that makes a statement.
The whole collection is dreamy, now to win the lottery to buy it all up!!!
