I have two sides to my style, the one that loves to wear nothing but black, dark blue or grey, oh and denim, I’d have to say that this is majority of the time, and then there is the happy-go-lucky side that isn’t concerned with flaws, just fun and colourful, today’s look from Boden most certainly falls into this category.
There’s an assumption that just because I share so much of my life that I’m comfortable in my skin, and prancing and posing for style posts. This couldn’t be further from the truth, let me get this into perspective, I don’t hate my body or myself, but that doesn’t mean I don’t wish to be a little slimmer around the tummy and hips. These issues affect me so much that I shoot an outfit post, even edited them **not photoshopping just adjusting the colour and brightness**, write the post and still don’t feel comfortable enough to press publish, as those areas are yelling out and my low self-confidence kicks in.
There’s always an anxiety that goes along with style posts, will you guys like the outfit, will you like the photos, the location, and all I hope for is that I don’t get fat comments, yes I’m not a model, I’m not a teenager, I’m sorry but I think I have the body of a real woman, and I think it is time that I embraced it rather than wish it away. That’s really easier to write than to put into action, but I’m trying, and that’s why I’m trying to make these outfit posts more regular. 
Enough of the heavy stuff, this post was supposed to be upbeat and as colourful as my outfit, but it was an issue on my mind so I thought I would share, I sometimes am a bit of an over-sharer, as well as a rambler! I promise that’s the last tangent, back to the outfit, it was an attempt on my part to embrace this gorgeous weather we’ve been having **I hope I haven’t just jinxed it by saying that**, I love that it really does make people happier, especially me, there were too many months of gloom and I need this vitamin D kick!!!
This whole look started off from these fab Boden ‘Alice’ heels, yeah I know every other blogger and their mum has them, but that’s because they are so fun, and they come in a number of colourways, including pink, but I just really liked the blue, mint green and pink combination. These beauties are just fun, I’m in love with the tassels, and come on you have to admit that they are so very instagrammable that they are hard to resist.
Using the green, blue and pink colours from the shoes I paired them with my trusty Asos skirt, I love the shape and length, as well as the texture, and it really does go with everything, and I think the blue contrasts perfectly with this uber-soft Boden ombre cashmere jumper. I could basically spend all day stroking it.
Finishing off the look is a touch of pink, just like my shoes a little pink adds a nice pop, and this Boden necklace works perfectly, it also looks great when worn with a denim shirt as well. Can’t go on date night without a clutch and I went with this fun ‘Love’ Stelle Audio clutch, which not only carries my lippy and cards but also plays music via Bluetooth from my phone, I do love super fun wearable technology that looks good, and this clutch is perfect for the summer picnic weather. 
Ooh, I nearly forgot to mention my arm candy, for this look, because it is so bright I decided to opt for simple jewellery, and I really love the combination of this rose gold Caravelle New York watch with the new Wings For Life bracelet designed by Susie Wolff. Sometimes less is more.
