There are so many things I love about living in the countryside, the open spaces, the gorgeous views, incredible walks on our doorstep, and the moment I’m obsessed with the gorgeous yellow fields that are literally surrounding our village, so of course, I couldn’t help but take advantage of the sunny weather to take an impromptu photoshoot of what seems to becoming my weekend go-to outfit, flares and stripes.
Sometimes the best style posts are those ones that are unplanned, super quick and just for fun, this is what we have here. We actually just stopped on our way home, after doing a spot of shopping this Bank Holiday, while celebrating our 6-month wedding anniversary, as we treated ourselves with a new-look living room, and we literally pulled over on a country lane to snap the gorgeous view and I couldn’t help show off these gorgeous, leg-lengthening flares.
These flares are probably one of the oldest pairs of denim in my wardrobe, they are about 10 years old, and I remember buying them at French Connection at the airport in the sale. For many years these beauties sadly didn’t fit and weren’t in fashion, but there was something about them that I just couldn’t let go of, and I’m so pleased as I’m loving how long they make my legs look, plus aren’t flares just the most comfortable style of jeans that you can wear. The only thing is I do keep tripping myself up, so maybe they should also come with hazard pay each time I wear!!!
Also, can we also give a moment to this fab purse, I’ve been attached to it since the lovely folks over at Play Purse sent it to me, it is so kitsch that I love it. I think the reason I love it so much is because it reminds me of one I used to carry around as a child, I took that little pink beauty everywhere, I do love nostalgic vibes and this is just pure fun, and come on fashion should be fun. I also think it is the perfect addition to this causal weekend look.
Are you guys as addicted to flares as I am?
