This week everyone I have spoken to the subject of a certain film released this week has been the centre of discussion, can you guess which one? Yep, Star Wars. I’ve been surprised by the sci-fi flicks appeal away from men my husband’s age who grew up wanting to be Han Solo or Luke Skywalker, and I have to admit I’m actually quite excited to see it myself. I have to be honest I’m a late bloomer to all the Star Wars excitement, I never watched it as a child, my Mum is a Trekky, and I really didn’t enjoy the newer films, Episode I, II and III. But then over the summer my husband decided to induct me into the world of Star Wars with back-to-back screenings of the original three movies, I didn’t need much convincing as soon as I found out Harrison Ford was in then, I do have a little crush on Mr Indiana Jones!!! I surprised myself by getting into the simple storyline of the struggle of good vs evil, as well as the cute characters, can we all please have an R2 D2 and be friends with an army of Ewoks?
I actually shot this Star Wars style post during London Fashion Week, I know crazy right that it has taken me months to post, but once a month had passed I just thought it would be worth waiting to coincide with the film’s release, so here you are! This is actually one of my favourite LFW looks, I do love going casual and comfortable to fashion shows, and this was such a fun look, helped a lot by my vintage Star Wars T-shirt that I stole out of my husband’s wardrobe, he only found out when I post my look to Instagram, where he did casually remind me that it was his and not mine!!!
As well as loving my stolen tee, which just so you know is currently hiding in my chest of drawers, I’m obsessed with this blue leather jacket from Boden, not only does the colour go perfectly with the Star Wars slogan, but the fit is so amazing, and I never say that about leather jackets. This beauty is made of the softest leather and the detailing is just amazing, I love the quilted panels and zips at the cuff, biker style in a fun, modern colour, which certainly brightens up this look. Finishing off my look, I paired my Star Wars T-shirt with my trusty ripped jeans from American Eagle, and this super-cute mini backpack from Aspinal of London, a great bag to carry all my fashion week essentials.

It seems I’m not the only one who has gotten a little excited about Star Wars, you may have noticed so have high street retailers, I think everyone has partnered with the film on T-shirts, sweatshirts, PJs, hats and even socks – for the best out there try Primark, Uniqlo, F&F Clothing at Tesco and Asos – you can also scroll through below to see some of my favourites, but I totally recommend that you steal from your boyfriend’s wardrobe first the fit is so much better a little baggier!!!
