This striking electric blue dress was one of my highlights of London Fashion Week, and from the autumn/winter 2011 collection from husband and wife design team Falguni & Shane Peacock, which took place in the intimate setting of On|Off’s Mercer Street Studios.
It wasn’t packed, and a few people did give up waiting for X Factor reject Diana Vickers, but it was seriously a stunning display of body-forming dresses and couture evening gowns, which wouldn’t look out of place on a red carpet.
This is a label that is loved by popstars Cheryl Cole, Katy Perry and Fergie, and you will notice a lot of their designs in your favourite music videos. Well for autumn/winter, Falguni & Shane have really been inspired by rock n’ roll, showcasing dominatrix leather dresses and bodies, embellished studs and spikes, thigh-high leather boots, and gorgeous printed minis and catsuits.
Everything about this line is sexy, but for me it is when the couture evening gowns go down the catwalk is where the label really shines. The layered panels, sequins, sheer fabric, black lace, leather piping and of course the collection wouldn’t be complete without the label’s signature feather – all of it completely gorgeous.
I can’t wait to see a celebrity wearing one of these gorgeous designs.
