Paris is one of my favourite places, I think New York is the only city that rivals it for me, and I love that it is so close, the Eurostar really does make it super easy to visit from London and the UK. However, when I have been to Paris before I’ve found it very frustrating finding a great hotel, they are generally tiny, expensive and not very modern.

Don’t get me wrong there are amazing hotels, but over the years I’ve come to realise that Paris is a city where it really does pay to go for something a little more special, the city is so beautiful and your hotel room needs to match, there really are other areas of your trip that you can budget on, for instance standard class on the Eurostar works just fine.

Hotel Review,Renaissance Arc de Triomphe Hotel, Paris, france, travel, hotel, eiffel tower

Recently I stayed at the Renaissance Arc de Triomphe Hotel and I was blown away by the space, as well a the chic modern decor, I really loved my Architectural room decorated in crisp white, grey and a pop of red, it just made me think ‘very Parisian’.

This is just one of many Renaissance hotels in Paris, I visited three during my press trip, they all looked beautiful but this is the one I stayed overnight and I love that the rooms are a great size, and that they either have large bay windows or cute balconies, and some even have views of the Eiffel Tower. Sadly mine did not, but it did have a gorgeous floor-to-ceiling window looking out on to the street, which by the way didn’t disturb my sleep.

I also loved that they left a cute non-alcoholic cocktail in my room as a refreshing treat, you get to mix it and then sip it from a tiki glass, such an adorable idea and was needed on the hot day that I checked in.

Highlights for this hotel, other than the good size rooms, has to be the location, situated in the 8th arrondissement its just minutes walk from the landmark for which it is named, and it isn’t far from the Avenue Champs Elysees, and I wouldn’t even say it was a 20 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. Plus if you fancy going further a field there is a Metro stop at the end of the road, I really feel that this hotel is perfectly position for taking in all the sights.

Another plus has to be the food on offer at the hotel, they have a French Indonesian restaurant the Makassar, which smelt amazing and the menu looked really good, I just wish I was able to try it out, next time for sure. Also get the breakfast as there is so much on offer as you can pretty much get anything you like from the buffet, from a full english to waffles or pancakes, then there was a whole table dedicated to fruit and pastries. There is also an outdoor area so if the weather is nice you can start the day with your pain au chocolate on the terrace.

The Renaissance Arc de Triomphe Hotel also has a great rooftop terrace, apparently a rare treat in Paris, and when the weather is nice it is the perfect place to enjoy a few drinks before heading out to enjoy the Parisian nightlife. This hotel really has a great atmosphere, the staff were all super friendly, and the modern decor keeps it fresh and inviting. I would totally stay here again.
